Yorkshire terriers are among those most commonly found in puppy mills.

Like you, we are outraged.....

....when cases of animal abuse make the evening news... Yet, there is an unseen world of cruel neglect and suffering that few Nebraskans know exist. Commercial dog breeders, many categorized as puppy mills operate LEGALLY in Nebraska and across the country. Dogs as products is not a new industry but has become a silent enigma that has flourished in certain parts of the U.S.   Nebraska has approximately 380 licensed commercial breeding facilities and even more that are unlicensed.

Our goal is to create stronger legislation and regulations to eliminate the suffering of these animals. We have the ability to bring about change by supporting legislation that eliminates the suffering of helpless animals and electing animal-friendly lawmakers who will support our goals.

Ask yourself- would you let your family pet spend a lifetime in a cage, never to be loved or able to give love in return? Of course not! Sadly this is the plight of these dogs who spend their entire lives as  production breeders... and this is completely legal under current legislation.

Please join us and learn what you can do to stop cruel breeding practices.
